" I know everything"
Monday... need I say more~ I always try to get my children up in a loving way, so that their day can start off on the right foot. Well, since we have had soooo many snow days in the last few weeks, Cooper thinks we should have some "Mommy mood" days. Let me explain~ Last year when Cooper started pre-K (for 4 yr olds) he frequently informed me that he was in a "Mommy mood" and didn't have to go to school. Sometimes I admit, I gave in and we had a day together just the two of us. (reminds me of a song...) Anyway, this little tradition has come to bite me squarely in the behind! This morning I go to the boys room and tell them it's time to get up and have breakfast and get ready for school. Justin gets up just fine~ Cooper on the other hand tells me that he is not going to school and his belly, back, butt, feet, neck, head, etc. are hurting. He informs me that he is sick and I told him that he may be sick of school, but that was the only thing wrong him. Cooper comes right back with " I already know everything" so, I don't have to go to school! Then he precedes to tell me that he will ride in the van with me, but he is NOT getting out! After some fussing and coaxing I get him up and dressed. He had to eat his cinnamon roll on the go. Once we got to school and I dropped everyone off (finally getting Cooper out of the van) I realized he left his backpack in the van. So I whipped the van into an empty lot (with empty house) not thinking about all of the snow that had melted and that it had rained all night the night before. Needless to say , soft ground + full size van = tow truck I would have been better off letting him stay home and still have my $35.00. LOL
